Launched a 5G smart station, Bangkok Central Station Apiwath. The first smart station prototype in Thailand and ASEAN

21 October, 2022, Bangkok – National 5G Steering Committee National Digital Economy and Society Committee Board of Directors of Digital Economy and Society Development Fund and the State Railway of Thailand jointly launched the prototype of the first 5G smart station (5G Smart Station) in Thailand and ASEAN at Bangkok Central Station Apiwat by using 5G technology to enhance state-of-the-art services to serve the public. This has been pushed by the National 5G Steering Committee and funded by the Digital Economy and Society Development Fund. To be a pilot example of utilizing 5G technology for maximum benefit to Thai people and Thailand, with General Prawit Wongsuwan, Deputy Prime Minister as Chairman of the Digital Economy and Society Development Fund presided over the launch of the project.
